The roof is rated to support 24 lbs per square foot, so hanging out on the roof might put too much stress, however, by doubling up the original rood beams with locally purchased 2x6s and matching them with the beams provided, you can bring the roof weight load to around 60 lbs/sq ft, which should offer enough support. We would suggest adding a plywood layer on top of your roof boards to protect them as well.
