The Dakota kit doesn't include plumbing or water lines - that's a separate step you'd handle after assembly. Because the shed is solid wood, running lines and adding or moving fixtures is straightforward.
A few things worth planning before you build:
1. Run the lines from your house. Most customers extend water (and electrical) from the main house, the same way you would for any other outbuilding.
2. Plan for it in the foundation. Pipes usually run under the floor. The pressure-treated floor joists that come with the kit can sit directly on a concrete slab, but if you want to run plumbing underneath, you'll need to raise the building to make room for it, so decide that before you pour or level the pad. If you're putting the water lines into a slab, rough them in before the concrete goes down.
3. Check permits. Adding plumbing usually triggers a permit even in areas where the shed itself doesn't need one. Check with your local building department, and have a licensed plumber do the connection so it meets your local code.
